Mark is the recipient of The John Lennon Award for outstanding new songwriter issued by The Performing Rights Society presented by Yoko Ono. Finalist in the Buxton Opera House Quest for a Musical and of the 2010 Stiles/Sondheim song competition. Two of his compositions have been performed by the Royal Philharmonic Orchestra and two more recorded by Ruthie Henshall on her album Pilgrim which he also produced. A commendation for his musical THE ATTIC at the S&S awards issued by MMD. The Attic received its world premiere in Utrecht 2014 to amazing reviews by the company Starlight-Boulevard. On May 27th his musical Duncton Wood , based on the bestselling novel by WIlliam Horwood receive its world premiere at The Union Theatre directed by Michael Strassen attracting rare reviews from critics and the public. Whilst performing in Marguerite at The Haymarket Theatre in London, the entire cast recorded The Attic concept album and performed Act 1. Whilst performing in the London the cast of Jersey Boys he recorded the new rock/pop album .He also work shopped Act One and presented it at The Prince Edward Theatre. Last year Mark performed in Memphis at the Shaftesbury Theatre and recently finished the Threepenny Opera directed by Rufus Norris at the National Theatre. All his workshops and premiers to date have been filmed in HD on multiple cameras and can be viewed on his YouTube channel.
