London’s UNION THEATRE produced the World Premiere of a brand new British Musical - DUNCTON WOOD during 2015. Already acclaimed for innovative revivals and reinventions of well-known pieces and rarities, the Union Theatre produced this ambitious work staged by award-winning director Michael Strassen.

When DUNCTON WOOD falls under a tyrant’s rule the old beliefs and nature itself are under threat. For young Bracken, and the few others with courage, exile may be just the beginning of a long road home...

Magical, lyrical and animalistic this story of faith wars, youthful romance, freedom fighters, and deep friendship plays out in a woodland world torn apart by dictatorship and the battle to survive.

DUNCTON WOOD was staged by Michael Strassen who was named Best Director at the 2014 ‘Off West End Awards’ for BILLY at the Union Theatre, where he subsequently directed his acclaimed production of Stephen Sondheim’s PACIFIC OVERTURES. His previous work at the Union Theatre includes THE FIX, COMPANY and ASSASSINS (Best Production in ‘Off West End Awards’).

CAST: Josh Little as Bracken, Amelia-Rose Morgan as Rebecca, Trevor Jones as Hulver/Boswell, Anthony Cable as Mandrake, Thomas Thoroe as Rune, Anna Stolli as Rose the Healer, Oli Reynolds as Cairn and James Sinclair as Stonecrop with Sinead O Callaghan, Hugo Joss Catton, Robert Dalton, Nadia Eide, Rachel Flynn, Myles Hart, Rosie Ladkin and Kristian Morse.
